What areas does EATOUT cover?

EATOUT is currently comprehensive in the Bristol and Bath area with key listings for many other major cities and towns in the UK. Content will be constantly added and our aim is to expand across the UK in equal depth of content and members.

What is this site? Who are you guys?

EATOUT is part of Invitation Digital, a newly formed subsidiary of Invitation Media. We love all things digital and anything to do with food - a match made in heaven !!

What is My EATOUT?

It's your personal space and hub for EATOUT where you can keep track of your favouite restaurants, your reviews, points earned and other key information. It will also be your gateway to interacting with other friends and users.

Where can I see my favorites?

Get yourself an EATOUT account and click on the "My EATOUT" button at the top of the page.

How are the results sorted in the search results page?

By default, Restaurant results are ordered as default by rating with the highest rated restaurant being displayed first. Users have the ability to refine their results from the top of the search page as well as sorting alphabetically, by price or by popularity.

What's the best way to find a restaurant?

The quick search option is the easiest way of finding a restaurant. Simply enter the restaurant name or search by an area or city. The predictive text engine will help you on your way, clicking GO will then display all the found results.

Where are all the menus?

We have tried to add as many menu's as possible and these can all be found on the venue's pages under the "menu" tab

Can I rate a restaurant more than once?

Certainly, but only your last review will count in the overall tally.

How do I rate a food item?

Just click on the stars to the left of the item! If you want to say more, write a restaurant review and include menu item reviews.

How do I rate a restaurant?

Just click on the stars, or you can write a restaurant review and include your rating there.

How come you don't have the restaurant I'm looking for?

If a city doesn't have restaurant listings, let us know and we'll see what we can do about it.

How do I add a restaurant?

Click on the "add to my restaurant" link in the members tools box on a restaurant's homepage. Thanks!

How do I write a review?

Click on the rate and review link at the top of the venue page or in the members tools box.

What do I get for writing reviews?

Besides the warm glow of satisfaction for helping others, you will receive points (points means prizes!), hopefully compliments from other users – a thumbs up – which add to your status as a valued reviewer and further points.

How do I add tags to a restaurant?

Go to a restaurant's page and click on the "Add Tags" link. If you add a tag that already exists, that tag's strength will increase - the next time someone searches for that tag, the restaurant will show higher in the results.

What are tags?

• Tags are words or phrases that can be used to label a venue to make it easier to find.
• Tags can help you find venues that have something in common Eg.Romantic / Classy / Chinese / Classy

How do I change my password / avatar / details?

From My EATOUT, simply click "Edit My Details" and you can change all your account settings.

What are EATOUT certificates?

Certificates are downloadable vouchers which can be redeemed at restaurants. Simply purchase the certificate and print it off and give to the waiter at the end of your meal (please read the terms and conditions for the certificates carefully)

Can I use points to purchase certificates?

Yes you can and you will be able to redeem points against the cost of the certificate at the checkout
