What we say

The Indian equivalent of the traditional 'greasy spoon' café, this is a basic but cosy enough curry café which is more relaxed and unpretentious than your standard Indian restaurant. It offers GM-free, quality dishes at seriously good prices. The meals are prepared in an open kitchen and the combination platter thali dishes are worth checking out as are the specials like the tamarind chicken. Good for a pop-in nosh, takeaway or home delivery.

Well worth a visit, the cafe may be unpretentious but the quality of the food is top class and VERY reasonable. Fresh, tasty food, made with care.

    a little gem.

I'm afraid I cannot comment on the food in this place as we never got that far before walking out. Proprietor met us with indifference upon arrival, barely looking up for the receipts he was checking (from where? the other ONE customer in there at 8pm on Friday night??)When he realised we booked with Invitation card, he barked to the waiter what we were not entitled to. An Indian twist on Basil Fawlty. Avoid avoid avoid
