This busy neighbourhood Italian has been a part of the Gloucester Rd late night scene for ages, staying open as it does until after 2am of a weekend and midnight in the week. It has a pleasantly old-fashioned feel about it, with a large open-plan dining room, and is popular with families during the evening and day. Fashionable décor and food fads pass it by as the Italian owners continue to serve up great pizzas and classic pasta dishes at very appealing prices.

Came here with my partner and best friend, the staff were very friendly, however the ambience and surroundings werent authentic or rustic, they were plain cheap and tacky!
The soup to start was bland and had a very poor texture. My chicken and mushroom risotto was a disgrace to italian food, one of the worst meals i have ever eaten, it was unbelievably bland tasted like water, it was overcooked without a mushroom or piece of chicken in sight! just awful!!
We didnt bother with dessert due to the prior faillings, the only good thing was the friendly staff and the wine which was a great, had to drink a whole bottle to get over how poor the food was!!
Compared to somewhere like San Carlos this is the biggest joke ever!!
Sorry guys but this is a not authentic italian cuisine never shall i, or should anyone return!!

My husband used to come here years as a child and apparently the chairs are still the same..The staff here were wonderful with our children and very attentive but it is such a pity that the food was so bad. I had a special of the veal, which is my favourite so was sorely dissapointed when it arrived swimming in a luke warm grey gravy, accompanied by a seperate plate of veg which had been microwaved and also looked grey ( by this time I was asking my husband if it was me or the lighting, but he assured me it was the food, his pizza looked "as if they had got all the bits from the bottom of the fridge and sprinkled them over". Luckily they couldn't get palin pasta and a pepperoni pizza wrong and the children loved it..
Such a pity as could have been a fab family resturant but the food looked far too much like pictures from a 70's cook book

there was a man with a guitar who wandered round the room singing and senenading people while they ate. the restaurant had odd decor but was quite quirky at the same time. the food was delicious and really good value as well.
