Another addition to Coventry's cosmopolitan restaurant scene is aqua food & mood, the city's first restaurant to be dedicated to Lebanese cuisine.
Already proving a big success since opening in 2006, aqua food & mood provides Lebanese and Italian dishes in a sophisticated environment. The restaurant is unlicensed but diners are welcome to bring their own bottle of wine. However, the options of the famous smoothies and exotic drinks such as fresh mint, lime and ginger crush are irresistable.
With a full range of Lebanese dishes as well as starters, pizzas baked in wood-fire ovens, salads and pastas, the menu provides something for all tastes. The introduction of new seafood dishes, including lobster, now attracts diners from far out of town. If you fancy something from the Lebanese menu, try the laham bil bamia - lamb and okra cooked with onions, tomato and spices and served with lebanese rice and salad; or shish taok - grilled boneless chicken marinated in garlic, lemon juice and olive oil.
Or if you feel like something from Italy, the range of pizzas is fantastic, from the Fiorentina to the Diavola. The selection of salads is also impressive and, along with the pastas available, make up a wonderfully diverse choice for your meal.
Try one of the desserts to finish, such as the homemade banana con cioccolata - banana and crepes with chocolate and toffee sauce, baked in the woodfire oven.
A visit to the exotic garden is a must, with cover from the rain and heaters for the colder nights, where you can smoke the traditional Middle Eastern sheesha with a range of different fruit flavours to choose from. An overall unique and enjoyable experience.

This was my second visit to Aqua. Their food is delicious, however slightly overpriced considering the quantities. The sheesha area is amazing. Especially if you are out with a group of friends it can be a terrific place to hang out till late night. The drinks choice is great too.

I've been to Aqua twice and both times I have had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The food is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. I've sampled both the Lebanese and the Italian and both are tasty. Its easy to get to, the decor is very relaxing and the seating is laid out nicely. The oustide smoking area is heated with booths in for shisha. I will definitely visit again for a casual meal or for a special occasion.

This is a gem of a restaurant with a modern open plan look to it. We came here for a birthday meal and were not disappointed. The food can only be described as excellent and service superb. Since earlier posts this restaurant is now licensed so no need to bring your own. The wine list is comprehensive enough for all tastes.

I visited this restaurant late as it was the only place I could gt a table and fancied a change. The food was excellent, atmosphere nice and different and I will definately be visiting agin. It was so nice to ring at 10pm and be welcomed to visit rather than beng told they were closing and even though we got lost and didnt arrive until nearly 11 we were welcomed warmly, not rushed and had superb quality, freshly cooked food.

We were looking for somewhere different to celebrate a birthday and Aqua Mood was suggested to us. We were not disapointed! We found the food and service to be of excellent quality. The atmosphere was lovely, no yobs or drunks in and the whole ambience was really special. The only disapointment was that we were told we could bring our own wine but were charges quite a substantial amount for corkage . However we would definately visit again!

The food and service were both excellent which was especially good as we were quite a large group. All good and I'd definitely recommend it to a friend and go again.

The menu here is really different and very tasty. You get the same old same old stuff at so many restaurants, but you can guarantee here they'll be something different, whether it be Italian or Lebanese based. The food was lovely, and the service good.
