What we say

No prizes for guessing this is a Chinese eatery. But with a difference. The owners have taken the idea of a smart, modern contemporary bistro and added in the Chinese traditional cuisine. So you get a split level, open dining area with wooden flooring (well, it's veneer but who's quibbling), recessed lighting, white walls and bare tables and slick service. The food offers huge choice with good veggie options and the portions are ample.

Food was ok, but I didn't like the size of the pieces of chicken, they were too big and too difficult to cut, if you only have sticks. My friend had one of the special offers. It was a bit too dry for he. It's a bit pricy for what you get -- no atmosphere.

Finally, I wasn't very impressed when we were served with cans of coke. I expect a little bit more from a restaurant.

A friend dragged me here for lunch a while back, saying 'I know a really nice Thai...'. Such a huge menu can signal approaching disaster in my experience, (not helped by there being no diners inside) and it was pretty disastrous really. Friend had duck something that he was very happy with & I had some sort of insipid seafood noodle concoction that was luke warm with little seafood - which, actually, I was glad about since I had a really bad feeling that I would be quite ill the next day. Thankfully I got away with it, but the whole place is a bit rank & the toilets definitely need seeing to. Yuk :(

This was the seond time I had been to BB, and I enjoyed it every bit as much. It is a much more reasonably priced version of Wagamamas, with a wider selection. The Service is a bit slow at times but friendly; the mains portions are so big though, you have plenty of time to eat without being pestered. You could make a longer meal out of the expeerience, or easily be in and out with one course within 30 minutes if needed. Highly recommended for a casual meal during the week or a Weekend lunch

The food in this place is great and plenty of it. I like the fact that there are no starters here, the food is brought out to you after it is freshly made. There are plenty of dishes to choice from that incorporate either rice or noodles. The pork dumplings and crispy lamb are a favourite of mine followed by the beijing bistro noodle special. The only downside is that the service is slow, the reason i come back is because the food is so nice and great value for money.

7 of us ate at Beijing Bistro, the food was excellent but a little too spicy, even after the chef was asked to keep it plain. The service was fine but they really need to look at their bathrooms-the toilets were awful-the seat on the toilets in the ladies was not attached and I fell off!
