What we say

The Bottelino family, with their continuous success of opening and running great family restaurants for over 20 years, are delighted to present their first Bedminster branch, housed in the Old Police Station on Bedminster Parade, which opened in May 2006.

Bottelino's has always had a fine reputation for the very best in Italian dining and the new Bedminster restaurant promises to be no different. They have always insisted on the highest standards, using the freshest herbs and finest ingredients, authentic pastas specially imported from Italy, the use of only top quality meat, chicken and fish, and using traditional recipes - all of which are guaranteed to produce the fullest flavours, with the real taste of Italian home-cooked food.

Favourites on the menu include, to start, funghi al olio - fresh mushrooms marinated in olive oil, garlic and lemon; mozzarella in carrozza - tasty Italian mozzarella cheese, breaded and deep-fried; or salame Italiano. Mains include excellent pizza and pasta dishes alongside the likes of escalope of veal; spigola al aglio e olio - sea bass steak in a wine and garlic sauce; or pollo alla diavolo - chicken breast served in a spicy onion, tomato, mushroom and chilli sauce. And all these are complemented with a world-wide choice of fine wines, Champagnes, spirits and beers.

No doubt you will receive the same warm Bottelino's welcome and a truly enjoyable Italian dining experience when you visit Bedminster Parade.

From Monday to Friday you can enjoy any pizza or pasta for just £4.95 up to 2pm.

Another day and another trip to Bottelino's. This time with my husband, which makes a change. We were welcomed as if we are part of a very large and friendly family. The food was excellent, the price is always a nice surprise for such quality food. I think i'll try a new dish next time, maybe i'll go again tomorrow!!!

Nice, but nothing exciting I'm afraid. I really wanted it to be special as the waiter was sooo friendly and helpful.

The food was ok.I had breaded mushrooms and a four seasons pizza and both were nice. I couldn't eat it all so they put it in a box for me to take home which I loved! haha greedy!

I would go back again cos it's cheap and cheerful and the service is good!

Nothing special to report here - run- of-the-mill Italian food which was forgettable and slightly greasy. Would definitely not bother going again even though I'm pretty local. Had lovely grand piano there but no one playing it - what a waste. Any Italian worth its salt would not dream of giving their diners processed Parmesan from a jar - need I say more?

I was told to visit here as I had always heard they were a great restaurant. I had my invitation book discount too which was an added bonus so we thought why not celebrate a friends birthday here.

Service very was slow but the waiter was very friendly. The food quality was not great either. Greasy and poorly cooked although presentation was OK.

    Overall I was a little disapointed :(

I work locally and Bottelinos is a fail-safe birthday lunch treat for colleagues. There are always other parties from our office in there, the lunch time offer is fantastic at a fiver, the portions are incredibly generous, usually leaving us in a carb-coma all afternoon! The waiting staff are keen to whizz you through the eating experience, although not too fast to feel rushed. The waiters sing in Italian to you whilst adding the balck pepper if you give them a little smile, too!

Very good with families and children, keep us all entertained, food always good quality for the money. Large portions, tasty vegetarian options. Always happy to help in here. Unlike their Longwell green outfit!!

I have been to this restaurant many times and have never had a bad experience! The food is always excellent, the staff treat you with respect. I took my mum and my aunt this time and they had a great time debating with a couple of the waiters. Complimentary drinks and explanations of the region where it was produced really made the evening.

we went to bottelino's for dinner. everything was excellent- portions, service; the only minus was the fact that for much of the time we were the only ones there! the waiters were friendly and chatty and mostly italian (plus one from lisbon) although not cheap, the food prices were not unreasonable. music was italian and not overpowering. the complimentary limoncello was a nice touch to end this really good fun meal.

One word Yum!! The food was delicious the wine complemented it, and good advice as to what to eat from the waiter. Italian cooking as it should be. Lovely fresh ingredients and sauces. Clean, fresh, modern interior to the restaurant. Will be going again soon.

We booked an early evening meal, and nothing disappointed - the food was sublime, and very good value - including the wine. We even managed to slip the waiters a birthday cake for my father, which they brought out to him whilst singing happy birthday. It had exactly the right effect! Thankyou for a great evening Bott's!

Il Bottelino has it all; good food, good prices, good atmosphere and good service. I had lunch with a colleague at the Bedminster restaurant. They have a set price for all pizza and pasta dishes as a lunch time special which is excellent value for money. The restaurant is light and airy and has soft Italian music playing in the background. The tables are at ground level or upstairs on a mezzanine level. The pizza frutti di Mar (seafood) was delicious and big - almost too much for me to eat. There are a good selection of wines available - I had a large glass of house red which was very nice. There is also a good selection of bottled beers and spirits available. Thoroughly recommended.
