Since opening in 2000, Café du Globe has developed a unique reputation for its relaxed atmosphere and excellent menu. A large bay window looking on to The Passage and North Parade allows passers-by a glance at the décor - inviting, warm yellow walls adorned by medium oak mirrors and traditional Moroccan pictures.
The Casablanca-born owner takes pride in his homeland and offers only the finest Moroccan dishes: mezze, lamb and fish tagine, traditional vegetarian couscous, brochettes, pastillas and briouats stand alongside a wide range of international dishes including homemade pizzas and pastas, Mexican fajitas and baby back ribs (rumoured to be the best in town).
All dishes are freshly prepared, the sauces homemade, and it's all served in a distinctive way and traditional manner. All are welcome in this friendly family restaurant.

What can I say "excellent"
It Was my first date with Clare and, somehow the main waiter sensed my nervousness, he made out there was a phone call for me and, I went to the phone he gave me a few words of encouragement, I sat back down with confidence, as a direct consequence we are now married with a baby on the way, we have vowed that we will go there every anniversary 08/03**.
THANK YOU Cafe Du Globe you have made history

..they were full, but service was helpful. The food was adequate, but little more than that and the cold mezzes lacked clarity of taste and textural definition, merging into each other as they did on the plate. The hot mezzes were better, but nothing special. A disappointment was the absence of the Lebanese red wine, but then sometimes some things aren't available. Improved ventilation would help, as when we arrived the place was very stuffy, but at least they turned the fans on when we asked.

Amazing Restaurant

We visited this restaurant for a pre-comedy club dinner, based on good reviews from others. We could not have made a better choice!
The little restaurant was easy to find (not accessible by car though) and the decor was warm, cosy and rustic. It was very busy even when we arrived in the early evening and many people without bookings had to be asked to return later, such was its popularity!
The gentleman who served us was fantastic, working as fast as he could given that he was the only waiter and serving about 7 tables at the same time! We were seated and served promptly, he was knowledgeable about the menu and passionate about the food.
The food itself was just amazing! I had the Vegetable Cous Cous, and it was probably one of the most delicious vegetarian dishes I've ever eaten. Served in a tagine with beautifully cooked and flavoured vegetables, the meal was simply divine.
My partner had the B'stila D'jej, a pastry shaped like a pancake, filled with a sweet filling of almonds, chicken and flavoured with saffron, and accompanied by a beautiful feta salad.
Everything down to the olives tasted delicious and the portion sizes were very fair for the price.
Perfect meal, perfect food, perfect staff.
If you go nowhere else to eat in Bath, you must go here!

It's excellent and as busy as ever, I can't imagine there were many restaurants in Bath turning away customers on a cold February night, but they were here! Any Italians out there want a change, you may do well to learn the Morrocan cuisine and give Bath a choice! Not that there's anything wrong with Italian restaurants but Bath does seem to have more than its fair share! I will just forwarn anyone who has never been to the Cafe du Globe, its cosy atmosphere can be a little too dark to read their menu. Invitation card holders hurry up, not sure if they are in it for the coming season starting March/April

Cafe du Globe has had a complete makeover since our last visit and "wow!" what a difference. It truly is Moroccan through to the core. It was busy busy busy the night we dined and serive between starter and main could have been better, but well worth the wait. With the invitation diner's card this is excellent value for money and a great opportunity to try something different.

Excellent Moroccan food, friendly, helpful service. A venue that does not exclude December which is helpful if visiting the Christmas Market.
This was my second visit, both times to celebrate my birthday . So inspired by the food, got a Moroccan cookbook for my birthday.

This was a totally different food experience for me and my party of 6 family. The menu choices were really unusual and authentic morrocan style. The portion sizes were enormous, so be warned, Especially the Seabass which was delicious. The sharing platters of mixed starters were a great idea as lots of different dishes could be sampled. The staff were friendly and the service seemed fairly quick. The table was slightly cramped, but only because there was another big party eating there at the same time. Overall it was excellent and great value for money.

We've been before and we shall go again, this place simply offers something different. It is a refreshing change from the gastro pub, fine dining or pubgrub, they all have a place in my heart aswell as stomach but if you're looking for a change: look no further than the Cafe du Globe!

Strangely Good...

This restuarant used to be an English tea room, and its origins are obvious from the layout. Its not exactly cosy, with its large front window dominating the small restaurant. However, the service was second to none and the Moroccan food is certainly different to the usual mix of thai/chinese/indian/italian in Bath. Unusual, but good. We really enjoyed the change, and will certainly be back to sample some more.
