Bringing a bona fide taste of the traditional French bistro to Bristol, Café du Jour on Whiteladies Road gives both locals and visitors a chance to relax and dream of Parisian café culture. The café has two main focus points: Coffee and food – both of which are superb.
Using locally roasted, full flavoured coffee the staff here can make a multitude of different drinks and will make yours just the way you like it. The chef here uses the best ingredients to create a tasty selection of baguettes, paninis, salads and croques during the day. Bouillabaise, coq au vin and ratatouille feature in the simple evening menu, which changes on a daily basis.
If you enjoy traditional French dishes with delicious wines and cocktails, all in beautifully decorated, family friendly surroundings – then make a beeline for Café du Jour today!

Stopped off at Cafe Du Jour for a bite to eat and a hot drink. As a cafe it is child friendly and accessable for pushchairs too.
The staff when I was there were both french speakers but spoke very good english too.
The food is nice but very much cafe-style which TBH is what I wanted at that point, a nice baguette and a cup of tea. Prices are good (for Clifton!) and it is clean and light.
Well worth a stop in for the weary shopper.
