What we say

China Brasserie and China Brasserie 2 are a duo of restaurants well respected for their top quality food and exceptional service.

Situated in an atmospheric 15th century building, China Brasserie boasts top Chef Wah Ly. After years cooking for a number of celebrities, he knows how to create a pleasing plate and now invites you to dine like a star for the night and try some of his culinary delights. Wah has spent years travelling through China and Vietnam and the influences are clearly tangible in the food he and his team serve, all created using fresh produce and authentic Chinese ingredients. If it’s good enough for Elton...

China Brasserie are passionate about their food and service. Proprietors Melanie Burstow and Yee Wang, have created a dining establishment that genuinely cares about its customers. “We try to be or do something special and different, we are not a normal Chinese restaurant". Anyone visiting China Brasserie will soon see how true this is. China Brasserie 2 has proved as popular as its sister restaurant. Situated in a beautiful 16th century building in the High Street, this new venue has proved a big hit, another stylish and elegant dining experience. Wah and Yee have worked together to produce a tantalising menu which combines old favourites with new styles of cooking to yield some mouth-watering results.

Produce and ingredients are sourced from local businesses, suppliers and farmers wherever possible and dishes are prepared according to an ethos of healthy eating – additive and preservative free.
