“Desh” is a region of central India (it came under British rule in 1818) and comes from an old Sanskrit word meaning “country”. The smallish, canteen-style restaurant (which also does takeaway and operates a BYO policy, with no corkage) has developed a reputation for tremendous food at great prices. So, don't delay, you don't need much dosh to dash to Desh for a dish.

very poor quality food and tiny portions, this place has gone downhill faster then Eddy the eagle, give it a miss

this place used to be excellent now has gone right downhill, food quality VERY poor, very small portions paticulary with a takeaway which is a joke absolutely tiny thought it was a starter. give this place a miss far nicer in weston vilage, top quality food and good portions

i found the food very poor and the non english speaking staff to be very stressful.the price was good,but for the quality it was dismal
