What we say

Eastern Spice is a fully-licensed restaurant in Kingswood, whose tasty and well-presented food has earned it a large base of regular diners.

An extensive range of Chef and house specialities includes chingri saag ponir – prawns, spinach and Indian cheese all in a mildly spiced sauce; and chicken garlic mosalla – chicken tikka with fresh garlic and chillies in a fairly hot sauce.

There are also plenty of vegetarian options available, including vegetable passanda – vegetables cooked in a creamy sauce with coconut and almonds; and vegetable biryani – basmati rice mixed with vegetables and spices, served with green salad and vegetable curry.

Friendly staff provide very efficient service and create a relaxed atmosphere, so the restaurant is perfect for party bookings or, for cosier dining, there are four seater booths providing a more intimate atmosphere.

We have been big fans of this restaurant for some time now and often use it for take away as well as to eat in. As well as doing the usual run of the mill dishes you see in most Indian restaurants, Eastern Spice also do many speciality dishes if you want something a bit different. On our last visit we tried the Nariyal Murgh and the Badami Gosht, both of which were excellent - in particular the Badami Gosht - well worth a try, it's is delicious!! The staff are friendly and polite, prices are reasonable and the food is excellent (I can also highly recommend the onion bhajis - best ever!). The restuarant has a nice unpretentious atmosphere. Well worth a try!

Banging Bangladeshi Food at it's very best!!!!

We drove to Kingswood tonight after being snubbed by some poncy joint called RajPoot at the top of Whiteladies Road. (Don't Go there) Go to Eastern Spice. How wonderful that they are so good at cooking authentic spicy curry. Let's face it, what we want is some Poppadums with Pickle, some well presented and tasty starters such as the Vegetable somosa (best I've ever had) and the kebabs amazing! Plus a banging curry. Try the Murghi Massalam Madras hot you'll love it! and you can't go wrong with a Bhuna, Balti or and Korma if you can't stand the heat. The service is friendly and excepional. Forget the city go to suburbia for the best in curry you won't regret it. Great red table wine is very good the price is good too! Loving the Taj Mahal Mural and the Blue Decor!!! Waiters are great. Didn't see the chef but he must be a good guy! See you again soon!
