Eleo's is a very popular city centre restaurant with a rustic charm. Old timber beams enhance the décor and provide for a Mediterranean style atmosphere.
Having recently changed hands, the restaurant has now moved upmarket, with an exciting new menu featuring a wealth of mouth-watering dishes alongside more exotic choices such as the Portuguese "espetada" speciality, which comes to your table buttered and skewered, suspended on a hook above your place setting.
In addition, there is a large variety of fresh fish available such as lemon sole, roasted monkfish and sea bass or yellow tail snapper, baked in rock salt and filleted at your table. Make sure some space is saved for dessert though, as the traditional favourites of sticky toffee pudding and warm chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream are to die for. To accompany the meal, the restaurant offers an excellent selection of fine wines and Champagnes as well as an extensive choice of brandies.
The layout of the restaurant means that all occasions can be catered for, from a romantic meal for two to large celebratory bookings. As for the service, it is attentive yet friendly in style and nothing is too much trouble for the staff should any special requests be made.
Eleo's also boasts an elegant, relaxed wine bar where diners can enjoy a drink, whether as an aperitif or as a perfect finish to the evening.
