Stylish, ambient and at the cutting edge of contemporary design, Fire and Ice brings a whole new reverence to English and Mediterranean wood-fired cuisine. Opening its doors in early February 2006, Fire and Ice introduces guests to traditional wood-fired cuisine.
Using freshly prepared, locally supplied, organic ingredients, Fire and Ice offers an extensive menu of pizza, salads, risotto and pasta as well as old favourites including steak, marinated lamb rump and salmon. Welcoming aromas fill the room from the open theatre kitchen where you can watch chefs prepare your food.
The pizza dishes are the forte of the restaurant. All are made freshly from Fire and Ice’s own dough and wood-fired. Choose from a variety of toppings, from old classics including the ham, pineapple and mushroom and margherita, through to new creations such as the Tonno – tuna loin, red onion, olives and lemon dressed rocket leaves and the Fire and Ice special - chorizo, chilli, mozzarella and fresh mint. For other dishes, crispy pancetta and sweet pumpkin risotto and the corn-fed chicken breast stand out amongst tasty, traditional Italian fare.
Service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is relaxed and convivial. A great selection of house and selection wines, cocktails and continental lagers next to a tempting choice of desserts provide the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

The pizza here is really good, however i had Tuna steak on a previous visit and found it to be dry and overcooked. The restaurant is fairly child friendly, but the bar area is not and staff do not seem over enthusiastic about you bringiing a child in let alone bring a pushchair. This is a major change how they used to be and we felt unwelcome really. I would choose elswhere in West Bridgford for a more pleasant exprience.
