What we say

An outstanding venue in which to celebrate almost any occasion.

Garfunkel's restaurant is open daily from 10am until late and has an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. There's a peaceful, relaxed feel, with the conservatory overlooking the Abbey and a patio for the summer.

There are a number of function rooms to cater for up to 150 guests, and a special children's menu is also available. Being a family run restaurant, children are treated well at Garfunkel's, as special guests who even receive their own goods to keep.

The cocktail bar is a fabulous place to relax and enjoy a drink after a hard day's work, shopping or sightseeing.

Early on Saturday evening, just looking for "something to eat"rather than a "dine out" evening Garfunkels fits the bill. The team members are excellent, attentive and helpful. I just wish I'd asked if the chicken breast was going to be beaten to a wafer before the delicious coating was applied. Flavouring great, but dry. Chicken can be cooked and stay succulent! On the other hand, my husband's generous portion of scampi and chunky fries was delicious. Great value, added advantage of 25% discount with the Invitation card. (unmarked!)

Wandering around Bath with friends who also had young children, we wanted somewhere were we could get a reasonable meal, rest and not be too hot or crammed in. Garfunkels fits the bill perfectly. Staff are polite and used to dealing with Children and food is reasonable quality, although did take quite a while to turn up.

The ladies enjoyed their PIMMs and the children their ice-cream, so of course the boys were happy!
