When it was Italian was very very good traditional food. I dont know who is the owner of a building but they try to use Il Rustico's name and sell crap to the customers! Previous people who had the lease were brilliant! Now there is some dodgy food going on and not worth to try!

Il rustico rightfully deserves this title. Just the other night we decided to try out something new and the service was incredible efficient and friendly. This family-run restaurant has a unique welcoming atmosphere, huge portions and the food takes you away to the coast of Italy. All of it melts in your mouth and makes your taste buds go crazy! Thank you for this wonderful experience.

I visit Il Rustico on a very frequent basis for a lovely, rustic, freshly cooked meal - where they dont over complicate the ingredients and work on the taste of the food. My friend and I had a garlic flatbread to share - which was huge and topped with lashings of garlic butter. Then to follow - the mussell risotto, my friend had the wild mushroom risotto (which wasnt on the menu - but the chef cooked it from scratch at my recommendation). Both beautiful - filled with herbs - and brimming with flavour. Unfortunately, we did not manage to fit in a dessert - due to the fact that our portions were massive - but I can highly recommend the home made tirimisu - which I have tasted on many occassion.
It is a shame the restaurant isnt busier - but the waitress more than made up for the atmosphere - and we went away full, happy and awaiting another opportunity to return!!
