La Caverna Restaurant & Hotel is a warm and inviting, family-run establishment, with over 25 years of experience in looking after guests to the highest possible standard.
The restaurant and bar at La Caverna offer an exclusive and elegant experience. Renowned as one of the best Italian restaurants in the area, it is a sleek and stylish city rendezvous. Combining the very best authentic Italian food, La Caverna specialises in fresh fish dishes.
With a fantastic array of seafood on offer, including Dover sole, sea bass, monkfish, swordfish, squid, tiger prawns, langoustine and live lobster (subject to market availability), it is very tempting for the fish lover to choose something from the Chef's speciality menu, but there are other delicious main courses availabile, including veal, chicken, duck, and an excellent selection of steaks. Topping the list is the Filetto "Caverna" - fillet steak with Marsala wine, brandy, cream and Worcester sauce. If you have a little room left the desserts are worth staying for, with indulgent treats such as profiteroles and the cheesecake of the day. An extensive wine list can be called upon throughout the meal for something to complement each dish, and after for its excellent selection of spirits and liqueurs.
The hotel is located five minutes away from Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre, meaning it is also a five-minute drive or taxi ride from Birmingam International Airport and train station. For those travelling by car, there is ample parking space in the private front and rear car parks.

Terrible attitude

Having eaten in many restaurants around the world this experience was terrible. I have never had a waiter who was probably the owner walk away when I complained I had not received a drink I had ordered. The attitude of both persons serving was one of I don't want to be here. Having spent nearly £100 I would have to say to people this place does not deserve your well earnt money. Food was average and the place has gone down hill; this use to be a great venue and brilliant food no more times have changed.
