This refurbished ex-working men's club is sister restaurant to the Swindon Rendezvous in Theatre Square (same menu, same offers) and employs the 4000 year old principles of Feng Shui to deliver “the perfect balance of healthy eating and sensational taste” (Oriental, by the way, despite the sisters being christened in the argot of another world cuisine). The Swindon was thought by some to be a bit cramped but there's no such problem here because the large windows and glass doors give a very open feel. The sophisticated decor, with lots of deep red, apricot and orange, wood, and subdued lighting, is brought in to contrast by illuminated features like the large green Buddha and the starburst light effect on the ceiling. There is an all-you-can-eat menu (don't ask for more until you've cleared your plate) as well as an a la carte and only the very best ingredients, organic where possible, are used, so as to feed the mind, the spirit and the body. And, finally, you can achieve perfect harmony between you and your car because the restaurant has arranged that customers can leave their motors in the George White car park over the road.
