What we say
The gorgeous building, parts of which date back to the 17th century, is one of last timber-built ones in Bristol, featuring tales of smuggler's secret passages, hauntings and several bars to hear them at. The ale on offer is good stuff, particularly when combined with the food on offer - and with many cosy seating areas, the pub has an intimate, inviting atmosphere.
