There are now some 700 Wetherspoon pubs spread hither and thither across the country but this one, on the buzzy Bristol waterfront and housed in an old transit shed, is different from most in that it does have TV screens and a child certificate (they are welcome up to five, o'clock that is, not their age). It offers a pub-style menu, jacket potatoes, pasta, chilli con carne, fish and chips and the like, which can be enjoyed in the shiny, contemporary wood and metal interior, or closer to the water in the extensive outside seating area.

Weatherspoons / Greasy spoon ?
Rating - Overall: 3 Food: 2 Service: 4 Ambience: 3

Dropped in for lunch
Good points - cheap; served very quickly - good as I was in a hurry
Bad points - Grease everywhere - possibly reheated as it was generally manky
But I like Wetherspoons as that night I was in Exeter and got a round for 4 of us in Wetherspoons for £6.85 and an almost identical round in the previous pub was £11.50 so if you like cheap and cheerful then this'll do the job.
