Lupa is a vibrant Italian restaurant and bar with chic yet informal surroundings, situated in the prime location of Southampton’s popular High Street.
Inside, contemporary décor creates an elegant and relaxing atmosphere. Open for lunch and from early evening to late at night, the intimate and bustling bar area creates a true continental feel with a delicious array of tapas to enjoy with your favourite drink.
For a more sit-down meal, a broad and comprehensive menu offers something irresistible for everyone, serving a wonderful combination of both modern and classic Italian dishes. To begin, choose from a range of nibbles and antipasto dishes to share – mozzarella and basil balls, calamari, tomato bruschetta and a selection of fine Italian meats and fish, or go for a traditional starter of baked goats cheese, beef carpaccio or steamed asparagus.
For mains, there’s a good selection of traditional and contemporary pizza, each one stone baked and made using fresh ingredients. Try a classic quattro fromaggi or Fiorentina, or opt for a fichi - goats cheese, figs, rocket leaves, tomato and mozzarella. Alongside pizzas sit wonderful salads and pasta dishes. Try the melon, buffalo mozzarella and San Daniele Parma ham salad, served with mint vinaigrette or go for the linguine with whole fresh clams, chopped vine tomatoes, garlic, herbs and chilli.
A good selection of meat and fish dishes - all beautifully prepared and served in wonderful authentic sauces complement the usual Italian menu. Try the chicken breast stuffed with goats cheese, sunblushed tomatoes and spinach and wrapped in Parma ham or the slow cooked lamb shank served with red wine jus and creamy mashed potato.
For dessert, traditional Italian ice cream and some of the finest desserts this side of Pisa provide a wonderful finale to your meal.
