Papa Sanchos Stonegrill, a family-run restaurant and café bar established by Welsh International rugby player Nathan Brew, offers both an exciting traditional restaurant menu and a unique stonegrill experience. Friendly staff will be happy to help with any of your questions, so be it a traditional Chef-cooked meal or a choice from the stonegrill menu, you'll thoroughly enjoy the cuisine!
Stonegrill offers a unique interactive dining experience where diners' meals are served cooking at the table on superheated natural volcanic stones. These specially-selected stones, chosen for their high heat retention, are heated to 400°C/752°F in the purpose-built stonegrill oven. Meals are then presented within a protective ceramic serving tray, sided by vegetables.
This method of cooking can be traced back to the Vikings, and the high temperatures involved mean that more of the natural juices and nutrients of the food are locked in, enhancing the tenderness and flavour. The unique "dry cooking" method uses no added fats or oils, and sears the food without burning it.
As well as a range of dishes cooked in the "normal" way, such as salads, risottos and pasta, your range of choices to have stonegrilled include a variety of steaks, as well as lamb shank, seafood, tuna steak, and daily specials. There is also a children's menu, for those not quite at home with 400°C hot stone!

I stopped off here with a friend and have to say the food is mouth-watering. We didn't have to wait for more than 2 minutes to be served and the staff are very friendly and polite.
The food arrived quicker than expected and I had a salad with mine that was really fresh and crisp and the steak was cooked just right. The seats were comfortable and I didn't feel confined like I do in some resturants.
I will be going back!
