Pappas Restaurant opened in 1987 – the result of a family's passion for good food and wine, great music and dancing. Created with love, care and concern or as Greeks would say, meraki, Pappas taverna style restaurant has become one of Nottingham’s most original and popular dining experiences. For over 20 years this family-run establishment has offered customers a unique combination of a cosy restaurant and night spot with fantastic entertainment (live bouzouki music, traditional dancing and special events) - making it the perfect atmosphere for a night to remember.
Food is cooked using the highest quality ingredients and selected recipes from Greece and Cyprus to create deliciously authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The à la carte menu offers imaginative variations of traditional and contemporary Greek dishes. To start, try the king prawns pan-fried in garlic and herb butter; or button mushrooms stuffed with creamy feta cheese. Follow with a Greek classic; moussaka, kebab or vine leaves stuffed with rice, mince meat and cinnamon. True to Greek cuisine, Pappas is a dining experience centred around chatting and catching up with friends and family and what better way to do this than over the mezze party menu. Bite-sized morsels of deliciously prepared and wonderfully presented Greek specialities are perfect for sharing with friends.
To match the quality cuisine, Pappas have created an extensive wine list of the best Greek and Cypriot wines, carefully chosen to offer guests a variety of aromatic flavours.
Service is pleasant, friendly and warm and the establishment is characterised by a lively buzz as friends, families and romantic diners alike rub shoulders in one of Nottingham’s most unique and welcoming dining establishments.
Pappas Restaurant is not formal, not fussy, not rushed and certainly not for keeping to yourself.
