What we say

You don't have to be a cricketer to be out for a duck in Bath, as long as you can wait 24 hours. That's what it takes to order Peking Duck at the Peking Chinese Restaurant, although most people require rather more instant gratification and go for the Crispy Aromatic alternative. This is the longest-established Chinese eatery in Bath and its white-fronted premises are convenient for the Theatre Royal and all the other city attractions. The air-conditioned interior is unfussy and stylish and offers dining on two floors.

The cuisine is traditional Cantonese, Szechuan and Peking and gets deserved mentions in the major restaurant guides. The spectacular food, soothing surroundings and attentive service make for a memorable experience, proving that, even if you get a duck, you can still be part of a winning team.

Visited this restaurant for the first time with a group of girls on a hen night. It was the Mother Hen's fave restaurant. Chinese doesn't do it for me, but if it's your cup of tea this should be top of your list. I had deep fried scallops for starters which were good and monkfish for my main but it took me about an hour to eat it because of the chop sticks!! Service was really good and they didn't seem to mind a load of noisy woman so that was a plus.
