A very popular independent pizza bistro that makes its own dough fresh on the premises and uses locally sourced ingredients to create adventurous types of pizzas (Tandoori Chicken with mint and onion dip being very popular). It's possible to have two different halves of pizzas if you can't make up your mind, which is an interesting option for the indecisive. There's a faintly rustic theme in the décor (or at least as rustic as it can be in Clifton Village) with stained wooden pews and tables and Mediterranean feel which makes for a relaxed atmosphere. The non-pizza dishes are quite tasty as well, especially the desserts.

Loved the decor, good service, good food, good choice. Ignore the negative reviews, we had a lovely meal.

I was part of a group of about 20 people for a friends 30th birthday. The staff were lovely and they were fantastic with getting the meals to the table altogether, although it was misread that a couple wanted half and half pizza, so they thought they were going to have a pizza each but the received 1 between them luckily the pizzas are big enough to share so there was no issue. I had the lasagna and that was lovely really enjoyed the dish. Unfortunately my friend and I were sharing a bottle of wine and on pouring the last of the bottle, what looked like glass was in our glasses, this was bought to the attention of the staff and they advised it was crystals from the wine. I have been drinking wine since I can remember and this has never happened before so was little upset that the wine was still charged for.

I ordered the pepperoni pizza well they were trying to pass it off as pepperoni but looking at it was more like dried up Iceland gruel, the pizza base was too thick, dry, doughy and tasteless!!
Should of listened to my instincts on knowing a place trying to three different types of cuisine in one is very rarely decent!
Best to just go up the road to pizza express unfortunately I have to say, at least they have thinner bases!

First of all, I’d heard a few good reviews about this place and, having recently returned from a longish trip around Italy, was looking forward to trying ‘the best pizzas in Bristol’ (as it says on the website). However, I still approached with some trepidation due to the decidedly odd mix of French, Tex-Mex and Italian on the menu (Coq au Vin, BBQ ribs, Tandoori chicken pizza (?!)). Sadly, this gut feeling would prove to be accurate.
I kept it simple and ordered a Marguerite. Although it is true that the pizzas are very big (I ordered the largest), this was probably a bad thing. When it arrived, the very thick base was dry, doughy and tasteless. The small amount of tomato sauce was tasteless, and the huge amount of mozzarella piled on top was equally tasteless. A shake of dried herbs topped it off. I can categorically say that this is the worst pizza I can remember eating. It was vastly inferior even to the cheapest tourist rubbish they serve by the Trevi fountain in Rome. My two friends ordered regular-sized Pepperonis. I couldn’t face tasting any of them, but the feedback from my friends wasn’t good. Indeed, the pieces of pepperoni looked like brown, shrivelled, gone-off dog food.
My advice: save your money. Or if you are really desperate for a pizza, I would actually recommend going to one of the chain Italian restaurants (such as Zizzi or Strada) around the corner – they charge a similar price and, at the least, are able to roll a thin pizza base – and that is as damning an indictment of the poor quality I can think of.

This place seems to achieve exactly what it strives to do. It is an informal, relaxed and superb restaurant set in the heart of Clifton Village. We came from out of town and were surprised to see so many chain restaurants in such a small village so it was a pleasure to come across a small, independant bistro. We were thrilled to learn that they offer a gluten free option on pizzas and my wife throughly enjoyed eating pizza after 15 years of abstinance! The atmosphere was electric and the staff were enjoying themselves whilst giving excellent service and our waitress offered us her advise on some local pubs to frequent which added to our overall enjoyment of the evening. We are already planning our next trip to Bristol to get back to this place! Our friends will be pleased!

Whenever I eat here, the staff are friendly and well-informed, even on very busy nights. They are also very accommadating when it comes to changing toppings and even creating your own combinations. The pizzas are big enough to share, so its great value too! Definitely worth a visit, my favourite place in Bristol for a chilled out family meal!

Highly diappointing lunch - cheap baguette used for garlic bread - almost unpalletable. Pizza base is awful thick and tastless - the toppings were minimal and not scattered proportinately. I would never visit again there are much better independent Italian restaurants on the Gloucester Road. Waste of money although they do have friendly staff.

We are locals and fancied a treat. Very disappointing meal. The starter of whitebait was cooked from frozen and its accompanying, unmemorable salad had pithy, tasteless tomatoes( of the value variety) with the hard core still inside.I had to ask for lemon for the fish and was given the slices that they put in the drinks... unsqueezable !My husband's pizza was sprayed with black pepper by the waitress while he was in the loo!(he hates pepper) His soup was bland. The bread was the cheapest french' tesco' sticks. They had no olives!!!The quality of food was awful. The pizza dough was too thick. In fact, as much as I hate chain restaurants , we wish we had gone to Pizza Express over the road. The quality of ingredients there is far more superior.

We love their pizza. We particularly like it because we like completely different things on a pizza - so we always order a four seasons pizza and then pick two toppings each that we like!

We love the pizzas here, they are huge and excellent value for money! They aren't your typical chain restaurant pizzas, the dough is obviously homemade and thicker than the pizzas you would expect at the places mentioned below. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cosy, all together a very nice restaurant.

I would give this a miss and walk a further 100 yards to either Pizza Express or Zizzi, which I am ashamed to say!!
I would much prefer to eat in a traditional Italian or pizzeria but im sorry the food does not compare and it's identical in price to the others mentioned.
My Partner and I both had pizza and were very disappointed
