Planet Pizza on the busy Gloucester Road enjoys a terrace overlooking the now defunct Victorian swimming baths. Since opening their first Branch on Whiteladies Road, Planet Pizza has been a huge success with shoppers, parents and children, students and evening revellers alike. The décor and furnishings are individual and warm with wooden chairs, slate floors and modern artwork which combine to provide a contemporary atmosphere.
The staff are friendly and laid back yet on the ball - service is top notch. As are the pizzas, it must be said - great bases smothered with a large variety of toppings, all named after a planet from our solar system thereby presenting the opportunity for many Uranus jokes.

We are huge fans of Planet Pizza. What makes it special is the combination of toppings for each cleverly-named pizza. I'm yet to find a combination I didn't love. Very varied vegetarian options as well.
Finally I should mention the relaxed atmosphere and terrace, especially at the Gloucester Road branch.

Worth the difference??

The children LOVED it!! So sensible to have 1/4 slices so they could order their own pizza without having the usual argument of having to share. My pizza was utterly delicious and huge as was the other pizza that I managed to share with my husband. BUT at £13 a pizza it is very expensive and I am not sure worth the difference. It was a shame that the children's pizzas were served with chips (the choice between chips and salad is a bit of a no-brainer) - the Italians' toes would surely curl at the prospect! The service was very friendly and they coped admirably considering they were under so much pressure. Worth a visit provided you have your Invitation card with you to ensure a discount.

Eating out with family

When I discovered the salads at Planet Pizza I was hooked! I have tried them all over the past year and love every one - hallumi; goats cheese and chicken and bacon are my favourites and the starter size is perfect for lunch or to go with a pizza for 2 people in the evening! My last visit didn't disappoint - I had a lovely salad and shared a pizza in the friendly restaurant - let down only slightly by the waitress who kept forgetting about us and our order! Still great food though and would definitely go back.

Best pizzas in the world!!

This is a fantastic place to go whatever the occasion; with your partner, night with the girlies, large group of friends, even my parents loved it in there, and what's more the pizzas are incredible.
2 for 1 before 7pm Sun-Wed is a great excuse to meet the girls after work for a pizza and bottle of wine - as if you needed one!!
A little glass of jelly beans when you ask for bill tops off the meal nicely.
I would urge anyone who hasn't yet been to go without delay.

The pizza are fantastic and are huge! The menu choice is great, with the quirky themed pizzas and the great choice of toppings. We always order a salad to share as they are huge!.

I visit the Whiteladies Road branch almost weekly for their great value pizza slice lunch special. Always really tasty it is followed by fantastic sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream ice cream. (fat free until you eat it!) This place is the second BBC canteen and fills up quickly at lunchtime. Friendly staff and consistantly high quality pizza. The Gloucester road branch gets full of noisy children in the early evening but I still pop in for free wi-fi , a cafe latte and a sticky toffee pudding!!

I have been here on a few occasions and have always enjoyed excellent pizzas. Planet Pizza offers good quality, good value large pizzas and tends to have a couple of speciality pizzas in addition to the standard menu. It is a relaxing venue. Service is good but not exceptional as can be a little slow on occasion. Nice reliable pizza restaurant and will definitely go again.
