What we say

Punitha?s is the first South Indian restaurant of its kind in Cardiff. A finalist for the Food and Drink Award 2007 and Curry House of the Year, a visit here is almost mandatory for any fan of Indian food. The dining area is decorated with white walls that are played on by glittering light effects and understated blue lighting that offers an intimate feel to the place; you can even enjoy a Bollywood movie, played in the background. Food here is vibrant and diverse: Malabar fish curry, Tandoori chicken legs and a range of thalis are but a fraction of the exotic dishes you can sample. The desserts are equally exciting; rasamalai and gulab jamun are the perfect way to finish your meal and cleanse your palate.

I went to Punitha's on a friday night, was not packed as usual but was considerably full.

The atmosphere was good as usual. I am regular visitor to punitha's. The service was good and helpful. They have various deal days throught the week but not on friday and saturday. so i should visit one of their deal days, especially the dosai day and the poratta day which sounds lovely.

They are not expensive and it is very much affordable and their wine list is interesting with a split of old and new world wine. one who loves wines with food, you have a good choice.

So i strongly recommend it is a must visit place.

What I ate: Lamb Chops, Karuvpellai chicken(curry leav chicken curry), parot
