Attached to a Travel Lodge hotel and popular with residents and families (children get a drawing pack), Quincey's (the name comes from the Old French for “estate of the fifth son”) offers Americana on a panoramic scale. Huge portions of Tex-Mex burgers, steaks, fries, fajitas and the like as well as a range of excellent desserts, notably pies and ice creams, are offered together with a substantial drinks menu, including cocktails and reasonably priced house wine.
Don't bother with pleading the Fifth Amendment: confess that this all-American extravaganza is not only great fun but also great value for money.
