Situated in the heart of Bath, a short walk from the Theatre Royal, Mezzaluna offers delicious authentic Italian food at affordable prices in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All dishes are freshly prepared by Head Chef Lorenzo who has 17 successful years' experience involving time spent cooking in Switzerland and France.
Choose from freshly-made pasta and ravioli dishes including the flavoursome veal; vegetarian mushroom, tarragon and spinach; Italian sausage and radicchio; or perhaps rack of lamb with blueberry sauce; fillet of beef with Gorgonzola, cream and port sauce; or Chef's specialty risotto of the day - a recently-featured risotto with Barolo wine. Fantastic homemade desserts include tiramisu, profiteroles and delicate French millefeuille pastries.
Gennaro, Giovanni, and all the staff welcome you. Buon appetito!

Reading past reviews, you'd think we were the only people who dine here, but no, I promise you this true Italian resturant has always got a comfortable number of satiisfied diners. The menu doesn't vary a great deal but is so well balanced with a good choice of pastas, meats, grills, risottos and fabulous fresh fish dishes it doesn't need to.

We have yet to experience anything but great Italian food, sincere Italian welcome with the friendliest of service at Mezzaluna. Nothing is too much trouble!
We can't be alone in our thinking, on a cold January night Mezzaluna was busy! Many a Bath eaterie would like to have had half the number covers they served!

I have yet to find anything to fault here. On the night we dined, top quality ingredients were turned intofabulous dishes by a great chef, served in an excellent ambience by a professional friendly Italian. We have been several times and it has always delivered the same great experience! If you've not been, give Mezzaluna a visit, with or without the Invitation Diner's Card it's well worth it! Nothing is too much trouble, we heard other diners requesting variation from the menu and all were served, most obliging!

It seems we can never praise this establishment enough, it is always excellent and ticks all the right boxes every time! Always like to see more than just the "house" wine available by the glass. Mezzaluna is fabulous especially with the benefit of the Invitation card!!!

No matter what time of day, what time of year, whether they are rushed off their feet or only a few dining at the same time, the warmest of welcomes, best of service, lovely atmosphere are all served up with fabulous Italian cuisine with or without a discount card. My significant other ws overwhelmed by his choices; both of the "specials" a prcini ondue dish followed by a fillett rossini True Italian hospitality

I cannot recommend this place on any level. The food was really dissapointing and not cheap either. I can cook better pasta at home and that isn't saying much! The other dishes were really no better and I caught more than a hint of surlyness about the staff that was very unwelcome. They got genuinely affronted when we asked to move to a nicer table. I don't appreciate being treated like that when I'm paying for the pleasure.
The only good thing I can think of was that the wine wasn't too bad but expensive

I often go to this restaurant at lunch with my friends or with my husband for a relaxing and usually delicious pre-theatre menu. The staff is always welcoming and look after you well.
The food is genuine Italian food and is very nicely prepared. There is great attention to detail and a warm welcome every time you come in which is very pleasant.
All the pasta meals are scrumptious, as well as their fish meals and you have to leave some room for their home-made tiramisu which is out of this world, even better than anywhere in Italy!
A gem of a restaurant not to be missed !

We went to this restaurant after having been to the local panto, the party consisted of myself, daughter and mother, so 3 generations of females and we all came away having throughly enjoyed our meals. Not only was the food delicious and affordable but the staff were lovely and friendly, service was quick and the general atmosphere was relaxed.
