What we say

To visit Saffron, situated at Woodlands Business Park, just off Woodlands Lane, is to remind yourself just why Indian food has become the essential dining experience for so many.

Great food, great prices, all served in a typically welcoming manner, Saffron offers that little bit extra to ensure a first-time customer will become a happy regular. The menu is extensive and varied, including all of the dishes you might expect, but there is also a large selection of Chef's specialties. Why not try the samba lamb, the bahar chicken or the macchi massalla, a delicious salmon dish?

The interior is one of simple elegance and warmth designed to complement your mood rather than dictate it, and the service is always professional and personal. Fully licensed and air-conditioned throughout Saffron is the ideal location for small and large parties alike.

We had a takeaway & was expecting great things after reading reviews on other sites. Sadly I was disappointed:

Lovely small restaurant with plenty of staff. Quite bright & modern - not a hint of the red flock wallpaper you can still find in some indian restaurants. In a very strange spot right at the end of a business unit.

Below is the opinion of myself & my husband.

    Onion Bhajis extremely dry.

Chicken tikka masala tastless to the point I couldn't be bothered to chew through the dry chicken.

Chicken pathia - Very tasty but again the chcken was dry to the point of being inedible & although it was a nice sauce it was unlike any Pathia we have had before.

Pilau rice - how they cooked dry rice I don't know.

Keema Nan - Don't expect a huge nan to share, this was almost a mini nan, but was ok.

Garlic Nan - Can't comment as this was missing from order.

We had been hoping to be repeat customers, but sadly won't be.

What I ate: Onion Bhajis, chicken tikka masala, chicken pathia, pilau rice,
