Have visited HN many times now since its opening, have been for lunch, tea, dinner etc and every single time the food and service has been top class.
The food is excellent standard, great fresh and well balanced dishes, immaculatley presented and also great great value.
Service although very proffessional is warm, personal and attentive!
Certainly reccommend dressing up and having a few cocktails before dining.
It is a wonderful place to go, highly reccommended!!!

Pleasantly surprised by our first visit. Has a great relaxed bar serving superb cocktails next door to the rather quiet restaurant - there were only two other diners when we visited!
That said the food was excellent, and the set menu was very well priced. Staff very friendly and informative. Certainly worth another visit I just hope it gets busier so it survives!

Well cooked cuisine but at a fairly steep price.
We enjoyed our meal but thought is was a bit expensive for what you got. I guess you pay for the name. Disappointed by the ambience.

Yes it was a bit like that - a treat before/after a shopping trip! However, despite the rather plain (even though very gold!) decor, it felt like quite a nice place to be. The service was good and the food delicious, slightly small portions but very well presented. I had mackeral salad, as did my friends and we all thought it was lovely, though one friend thought it could do with a bit more heat (ie horseradish). My liver was delicious and perfectly cooked, with slightly crispy edges, but soft pink insides. The set lunch menu was quite varied and resonably priced at £15 for 2 courses £18 for 3. We had 3 with a beautiful meringue in the pavlova dish, but it could have done with a few more roast plums which were yummy! Wines were reasonably priced too. A little bit of bread with the starter would have helped with the portion size but overall very good value for money.
