Stanshawes Court Hotel, built in 1874, has been carefully maintained to preserve its Victorian charm. This fine old house, run by Kevin Langmaid, is gradually returning to its original appearance and atmosphere. A wonderful ornate exterior and entrance lobby leads through to the original hall with its grand staircase. Beyond this, the traditional restaurant and bar offers pleasant views to large gardens and the patio.
The traditional English menu serves a good range of grills, fish and vegetarian dishes including steaks, sausage and mash, salmon supreme and mushroom and pepper stroganoff, all at very reasonable prices. The simple wine list is also excellent value for money.
Stanshawes also caters for functions and weddings and offers a 10% discount to Invitation members.
