From modest beginnings, Brighton’s Terre à Terre has now become one of the leading vegetarian restaurants in the UK. Winning the title of ‘Best for Vegetarian - Observer Food Monthly Awards 2008’ is yet another accolade to its forever growing national and international profile.
This former 30 cover has gradually grown into a 110 cover restaurant over 15 years through a huge following, not only for its imaginative dishes, blending ingredients that many of us would hesitate to combine in a sentence let alone on a plate, but also for its fantastic authentic wine list that shows daring and creativity. A favourite includes the porcini pudding and cranberry kraut, a little steamer crammed with port and porcini mushroom ragout served with mashed potato truffle, mulled red caramel cabbage and cranberry kraut and finished with chestnut milk and parsnip crisps.
A recent refurbishment - all fuchsia and bronze damask and candy - with striped paint finishes mean the dining experience has become even more indulgent whilst maintaining professional yet personal service.
Terre à Terre now offers a selection of menus to suit any occasion, speed lunch and pre-theatre menus, an indulgent afternoon tea menu, kids menu as well as the set and à la carte menu, all of which change seasonally.
