What we say

A child of the summer festivals circuit, One Stop Thali Café now sits on a corner of busy Montpelier in homage to India's “dhabas” (road side cafes), offering truly authentic Indian street food. There is no need of fridges or freezers because there is no menu. The chef simply prepares everything bought that day and the combination of complementary “thalis” are served on steel carriers. The Bollywood kitsch dining area is relatively small, so booking is essential (live music on Sundays), but there are two sittings every evening. As an alternative, you can join the “Tiffin Takeaway Club” for £20 (which includes your very own tiffin tower and your first takeaway meal). Your meal keeps hot for ages and you can bring your tower back for more cheap, plentiful, unpretentious vegetarian and vegan food whenever you want, proving that One Stop can always high-rise to the occasion.

Fancy something different from your general Curry house then head here.

This is about as close to a traditional indian as you are going to get, No Korma, Jalfrezi or Madras here.

Choices are by region, I had the Southern Indian a Goan Fish curry which was so tasty and came with rice, a vegtable curried side dish, Salad and a sweetcorn and cardomen relish all for £7 which is another thing the prices are very resonable.

Nice choice of Beer and Wine, Cobra £2,75.

If you live locally it's a must. Now we have been i think it's going to be a regular!
