What do you get if you serve up a tantalising menu of delicious traditional Indian cuisine with a portion of contemporary up-market city dining? Add a sprinkle of media exposure thanks to the highly successful Gordon Ramsay franchise and the result has to be tried to be believed.
The Curry Lounge, situated on Upper Parliament Street in the city centre has long been regarded as one of the best Indian restaurants in the city, with a fine reputation for excellent service, great food and a warm welcome.
You’d be forgiven for thinking Ramsay’s infamous presence could add to an already winning formula. The transformation however is nothing short of impressive, taking an already good restaurant and propelling it to one of the best dining experiences in the East Midlands, if not nationwide.
Winner of the CEA Awards for Best Indian Restaurant 2007 the results speak for themselves. Even Mr Ramsay added his praise while filming and eating at the restaurant, “The menu now offers uncompromising authentic Indian cuisine, packed with flavour and made just as it would be back home".
The decór is stylish, classy and the service ensures your needs are always put first. In short, everything you would expect from a first class restaurant. It is no wonder that the Curry Lounge is on the tip of every Nottingham foodie’s tongue.
Perfect for everything from an intimate dinner for two to larger functions, the restaurant is always happy to cater for events of up to 120 people.

Very nice food served by polite and efficient staff. Very like the food we had on recent trip in India, fresh and different to the normal Anglo curries. Great atmosphere and will be going again when in Notts Honest food at a honest price. Book early at weekends as was full when we arrived so have a short wait.
