What we say

Set at the end of Ferry Road in the steeply wooded Avon Valley in the heart of the Hanham Abbots Conservation area, The Old Lock and Weir Inn can boast three hundred years of history, pre-dating the time when the river became navigable. The flagstone floor bar is upstairs while downstairs are three linked drinking rooms.

The cuisine is traditional English, all freshly sourced and cooked to order. But the main attraction is the heated patio on the river's edge where the tranquil setting is regularly disrupted as patrons enjoy one of the famous periodic theme nights, Motown Night, Beaujolais Day and Landlord's Birthday Bash, to name but three and, perhaps, after a particularly convivial time, wonder whether there really are ferries at the bottom of the garden.

I like the food here especially in the summer. The food is simple and well-priced. You find alot of families down there as it is everyone-friendly. For some good old tasty food, it's a casual choice.
