The heart of fine dining has come to the Heart of England, courtesy of Chef Ross Parnell, who has joined The Quicken Tree restaurant.
The Quicken Tree is modern in design and capable of seating 64 comfortably. The privacy, peace and sanctuary of the restaurant is enhanced with mood-controlled star lighting, and there are large leather chairs for comfort. A large observation window means it is possible for guests to see the Chefs at work.
Ross has already introduced his own individual style to the menu, which is created from the finest and freshest locally-sourced produce. Signature dishes include braised shank of lamb with garden-picked vegetables and a mint scented jus; and pan-fried fillet of sea bass with Oriental vegetables and a lime and ginger dressing.

waiting staff more interested in answering phones than the customers. Chef needs to learn how to use a cooker instead of a microwave. If i am paying top prices i want top quality food not reheated rubbish total let down, complaint email remains un answered, will not be using or recommending again

We visited the Quicken Tree for the first time on Saturday and had an absolutely superb meal.
We were greeted by warm, friendly staff - and our food & drinks order was taken almost immediately - we really felt number one priority, unlike other restaurants in the past.
When our meals arrived we were very impressed with the quality of the food, and could not say one bad word about it.
We would definitely return, and are considering booking for their Valentines Ball on 12th Feb! Me & my partner also fancied visiting one of their steak nights aswell, as a friend told me she had a great meal there last Tuesday.

Christmas Day Lunch

We had the enjoyable experience of eating at The Quicken Tree on Christmas Day. Some of our party had had to deal with a heart attack and admittance to hospital that morning and we were at a loss to know when they would arrive.
The staff were understanding and supportive, quite willing to wait. They made our Christmas Meal relaxed and enjoyable.
I would like to thank them and let them know that they are a credit to the organisation.

Paradise in the midlands!

After having been recommended The Quicken Tree by a friend, I had rather high expectations and i am extremely happy to say that they were lived up to in every way!
The ambience of the restaurant was a welcome respite from the cold outside, beautiful lighting, relaxing music and panoramic views over the 'beach' and rolling hills.
I was most impressed by the current '3 for £10' deal - 3 courses which we had soup, roast beef dinner and butterscotch brulée to finish. It was more than enough food and was of a really high quality - i could not get over how good value it was! Service was friendly, efficient and attentive too.
I really appreciate the fact that the food is cooked from scratch when ordered; although this means your meal takes a little longer to be prepared - it makes the outing more special and the food is absolutely worth the wait.
I have booked during the week to try the 'al a carte' menu and i'm really looking forward to the experience.

Myself & My husband booked in for a Sunday lunch at the Quicken tree Restaurant. We hadnt been into the restaurant before. We were hit straight away by the breath taking view which you look out to from the Restaurant. We spoted the beach which we were suprised by, and interested to know more.
The service was efficent and friendly, we were seated in a nice area, where we had our drinks order taken, and then our food order.
The food was presented exceptionally well, with all the trimmings expected of a traditional sunday lunch. There was a large array of specials which also took our fancy.
The food was tasty and at a high standard. Very good value for money for what we recieved.
I would recommened this restaurant to any of my friends.

We ate at the Quicken Tree and we most disappointed considering it was rated as 5*. I wouldn't give it any stars. We were booked in for 8pm arrived about 7.45 and got to the table at about 9pm. My husband then had to go and ask how long before we'd get our starters and we were served at about 9.30. The ham hock had no toast and when we asked about bread rolls we were told they we in the oven as they'd run out. My sister in law had crispy duck which she was unable to eat and was removed from the bill.
Our first disappointment was that the menu bore no resemblance to the example on their web site. It was very limited and they had run out of some of the choices.
Its all very well beng able to see the chef in his kitchen but when it is ONLY one chef you know you'll have a long wait.
All in all not an experience that I care to repeat.

If we are looking for either a quiet or romantic night out this is definately the place to go.
My husband has took me to the Quicken Tree twice and both times the experience was great. The food is outstanding and the ambience is really made with a french waiter.
Cant wait to go again, thinking about booking into the Christmas party.
