Great atmosphere and the perfect place for larger groups - they have a set price menu that covers everything you could want. Place is usually quite lively but the booths are a nice secluded part of the upstairs restaurant so get in those if you can.

The Rectory is well-known in the area as a lively bar, less well known i think is how good the food is here. The restaurant is friendly and relaxed and the staff are attentive and knowledgable. We had the option of either the set price menu or the a la carte menu. Each were equally balanced and appealing. The food was excellent. Good portion sizes all round (a rarety these days i think!), and tasty throughout. Washed down with an excellent Rioja, we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. All at a price that is great value for what you get. Well done The Rectory!

The best place in the Jewellery Quarter to eat. The menu is varied and the food is always good. This place does the best steak you'll ever have! Service is generally good, although it can get very busy at weekends. If possible get a table with a view of the churchyard, on a summer's evening its a great place to be.

I have been to the Rectory several times now and every time the food has been delicious. Last time we had tapas which was on offer (3 for2). The portions were quite big and three plates of tapas and a bowl of chips was more than enough for 2 people. The only problem is, it is always very quiet am I'm not sure why it wasn't busier on a Friday night.
