If you stand up in The Stone House, make sure you do it downstairs. Try it upstairs and you could find yourself on the stage of a Bristol comedy club, Jongleurs, and the joke really would be on you. Downstairs, the long, curving bar sets off the mixture of high chairs and comfortable leather sofas. Standard fare (steak, pasta, pizza, jackets) at sensible prices fortifies not only the comic hopefuls but also all those up for the live bands. Can get very busy at weekends.
