What we say

wagamama is the most popular chain of award-winning Japanese noodle restaurants in the country, reflecting its enduring and diverse appeal.

At wagamama, they celebrate consistency and quality in everything they do. The ethos, developed since the first wagamama opened in London's Bloomsbury in 1992, is "to combine great, fresh and nutritious food in a sleek yet simple setting with helpful, friendly service and value for money".

They now have more than 80 restaurants in the UK and worldwide ranging from Holland to Australia - and more recently Boston, USA which opened in spring 2007.

wagamama has been short-listed by Time Out magazine for the award of "best family restaurant" as well as also being an official "cool brand" as voted for by the Coolbrands council in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 and, for the first time, wagamama has been voted a superbrand in 2007. In 2005 and 2006 wagamama was voted by Zagat readers as the most popular restaurant in London beating stiff competition from Nobu and Gordon Ramsey. The restaurants are modelled on the ramen bars which have been popular in Japan for hundreds of years. The menu consists of side dishes, main meals and desserts.

Your order is taken on an electronic handheld and zapped through to the kitchen by radio signal where it is cooked immediately. The aim is to ensure the freshness of your food and so your dish will be delivered to your table as soon as it is ready. This means different dishes may be delivered at different times to your table. The aim is don't wait - just tuck in and share.

wagamama is a culinary democracy - business professionals, backpackers, families, students and the ladies who lunch are among the millions who continue to enjoy and discover the experience of positive eating + positive living.

Eaten there loads, and there is a reason on most nights, please are queuing our the door... BECAUSE ITS GREAT!!!

All the food is prepared fresh and the staff are friendly.

Worth a try even if this type of food isn't your cup of tea.

We have eaten here a number of times - the service is fine and really quick. It's not too expensive and dishes we have tried have been good. I probably prefer similar 'Japanese, Chinese and Thai ' places such as Budokan or Taoh's, but if you're looking for (fairly) cheap noodle/rice dishes it's worth a look. Now, how about an authentic Japanese restaurant in Bristol?

The good thing about Wagamama's is that it's cheap, filling and generally it tastes good. It's somewhere you can pop to if you've got an empty fridge and no inclination to cook without feeling too guilty. Saying that it can get busy - I've even seen about 15 people queueing outside. It's good but you wouldn't catch me queueing in the rain.

Well this was our first family visit to Wagamamas. The service was quick and very friendly. Not quite as family friendly as it made out (no quick activities prior to the food) but as it arrived so quickly it wasn't really an issue. Our children all enjoyed their food and the chicken was a definite favourite. You do feel slightly under pressue to eat and leave as they obviously have a high turnover. Noevertheless it was a highly enjoyable experience for a quick and reasonable lunch.

My kids are fussy! But here, there is such a big choice that they will always eat a good meal. We are regulars because of this and sometimes it can be very busy, which is why I have marked down the service and the ambience. But the food is fresh and always very tasty.

I visited Wagamama's on Saturday evening as a last minute plan. The food was delicious and so quick! I had a Chicken chilli men and my word did it have a kick. It was quite busy so was a little loud I prefer a little quieter but a fab night.

Lovely to spend another evening celebrating another birthday with my wife. Food, as always, was tempting and delicious. The ambience set the mood of the evening well and we both enjoyed spending quality time together conversing about things which we never get to discuss at home.

Went for dinner at Wagamama on Clifton Triangle today and as ever had an enjoyable meal. The Chicken Chilli Men I had was a good sized portion however was not as spicy as it has been some other times, my friend enjoyed her Seafood Ramen and I was tempted by the selection of desserts but time was of the essence. As ever an enjoyable venue for a quick and tasty meal
