A rare independent spirit amongst the multitude of chain operations that populate the harbourside, the Watershed Bar and Café has developed an excellent reputation for relaxed casual dining in an appealing contemporary setting. Spectacular views across the water may be had from the light and airy, loft-type dining room.

The menu changes regularly and as well as main meals features light bites (grilled aubergine and goats cheese with olive provencale, for instance), breakfast till midday (including a vegetarian option served on sea salt focaccia) and a range of award-winning, locally made cakes. Locally brewed ales help to wash everything down. Attracts the young and hip especially in the evenings and at weekends, and can get squashy as the DJs get revved up.
