I love to go there on Mondays because of the good price, although it is still not cheap. There are some certain dishes that are delicious and the taste is special. it is nice to have someting different in bristol when surrounded with all the eoruopean resturants. Also it is quite healthy food.

The Cabot Circus restaurant is really quite large and was very busy on our visit. Unlike other similar sushi restaurants i have visited the conveyor travelled around the whole restaurant instead of just round a central island.

The food was very fresh and tasty, although i didnt see such a large range of dishes on the conveyor as at Yen Sushi but you could order a wide range of hot dishes from the menu. Service was pretty awful, we were sat down and then our server left without asking if we wanted drinks and it took ten minutes to attract them back again.

The theatre of the sushi chefs is always entertaining so sit in the middle if you can, this way you are also closer to the food and can grab them before they get to someone else. Mondays are special offer days where all conveyor plates the same price so you can pick up some dishes for a few pounds cheaper.

I went here on a busy Saturday afternoon with my partner and we were promptly sat down by a nice lady. I like Yo Sushi, the conveyor belt, the unlimited water, good atmosphere, and the sushi is nice. We had about 4 dishes each, but sometimes it’s hard to work out what stuff was – you’d finally find what it was in the book and then it would be out of reach by then! Service was efficient, food was good, but when I went to use the toilets at the end, they were horrible. There were only 2 cubicles and there was no loo roll in both of them, no toilet seat or lock in one and no soap at all, so I was very disappointed. Overall, it was good if they sort the loos out! I got 40% with a deal so we didn’t pay so much, but I think the full price would have been a bit eye watering.

This was our second time to YO!. The first was so good, I was really looking forward to returning especially as they were one of the many restaurants doing great money off savings at the moment.

As there were 4 of us, we decided to sit at a table instead of the conveyor belt. We were a little disapointed that the food coming out on the belt was a bit sparse and didn't have the full range. We ordered some extra dishes which made up for it. The staff, who were all really helpful and friendly told us they were slightly understaffed. On the whole, it was a fun night but not quite up to the original standard due to them being so busy, however because the staff were great, and we know that YO! is usually good, we'll definately come back again.

Never been to a Yo! Sushi before, and were looking forward to giving this a go.

My first concern was when, after looking at the menu, was the place trying to overstretch itself in trying to produce so many different types of dishes. It was strange and a bit confusing to see yakisoba, yakitori, tempura on the menu in what we though was a sushi restaurant.

Anyway we looked at the conveyor belt and dived into some sushi. I’m afraid to say that the nigiri sushi looked thrown together on the plate with no care or attention (one of the joys of eating Japanese food is the attention to detail shown to the dishes). Apart from the salmon, the fish was not particularly fresh. The Unagi (grilled barbecued eel), was chewy cold and tasteless. At the disappointment of the fish, we tried to order yakisoba and were told that due to being behind on the service, they could not take any orders for hot food. The only thing which was ok was the fried prawn – which was thrown on the conveyer belt in bulk and we thought we’d give it a go.

It is wildly overpriced – we spent £35 for about 10 dishes and left the place feeling hungry. The £5 + for the mixed sashimi, six pieces of average (apart form the salmon) fish unlovingly thrown on a plate with a bit of grated radish is a disgrace.

Instead of trying to produce such a wide range of dishes, why don’t they concentrate on getting the sushi right or at least change their moniker.

I urge people not to let this place be their only experience of sushi and be put off by the experience. If you leave this place underwhelmed I urge you to try Dashi sushi takeaway in Temple Meads – the best I have tried in Bristol, fresh and delicious (and no, I don’t work for them) - also Yen Sushi in Bath isn’t bad.

The only positive thing I can say about this experience is that the undertrained and obviously under pressure staff seemed genuinely keen to provide good customer service.

Oh yes, and I forgot to mention, as a final insult we were also charged £1 each for an unlimited amount of what I believed to be tap water.

Kids loved it even though they weren't that adventurous with their selections. Made sure we were sat next to the flow of food where thay had fun trying to match up menu pictures with the real thing.

We had to ask several times for a cooked item, staff appeared flustered.

Although all dishes clearly colour priced, you have to be careful not to order too much as the combined price of dishes quickly adds up!

Fun, but maybe only once a year!

Me and my boyfriend have visited once before during a lazy afternoon but I have to write a review following our latest visit. Despite being absolutely rammed on Christmas eve, the staff were still efficient, bubbly, and helpful. Service times for requested food was still quick. We had a delicious selection of hot and cold items (I love the bottomless Miso Soup!), and really enjoy the way you can see what you're getting before you eat it as it whizzes past on the conveyor belt.

My only complaint is that due to how busy they were customers has to suffer a few stains and grains of rice from previous patrons. It's not exactly the perfect romantic getaway: the bright lights and sometimes atonal music see to that. But nevertheless, it's certainly worth a go for the entertainment factor!

Bristol has been gagging for a proper sushi restaurant for donkeys so I got very excited about yo!sushi. It looks like a modern japanese affair but the service was hit and miss. My miso soup never arrived and my dumplings were promised time and time again. The sushi train is always a great novelty and the food was very good, but for the price I did expect more. I would go back as I got the impression they were just inding their feet. I think the key to opening a new restaurant is to train your staff before not during the experience.

    Ate here on the weekend.

The food was good and the service fine - watching the dishes fly by, lots of colours, fun place to be.

Only comment was that the place seemed quite dirty. Perhaps it was the end of the day, but not what I was expecting for an evening meal. May go back for a lunchtime snack attack, but not to eat out.

People expecting a gourmet/romantic sushi experience probably shouldn't head to Yo!, it caters much more for the fast food end of sushi really. Having said that, the food is always wonderfully fresh and you can't really fault the selection of over 90 dishes. Even if what you want isn't on the belt it can be requested.

Some of the waiters and waitresses do seem to be fairly new to the game and require a little patience, but on the whole service was fine and I will be back.

Was looking forward to the real Sushi experience - BUT - staff were a bit imature laughing and joking in the middle for all to hear... it took 3 asks to get our drinks... we visted at 9pm and they close at 10pm so a poor coice of dishes - hardly any fresh fish!! The place is very light so great for lunch when shopping but not for an evening meal - atmosphere isnt great either!

I hadn't been to a Yo Sushi before but I knew pretty much what to expect. There's the conveyor belt of sushi for a start. Water and green tea both come bottomless at a fixed price, the former from a dispenser at your place and the latter by pressing the buzzer (yes, it's just like being on a plane!). The buzzer can also be used for ordering things you can't find on the belt, mainly hot dishes, although some of the hot dishes also appeared on the belt while we were there.

It all worked pretty well and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only slight mishaps were a cup of green tea that never arrived (I just reordered and the waiter apologised), and a bowl of spicy seafood miso that wasn't very hot.

When you've finished your waiter just counts up your cups, glasses and bowls of various colours (each colour indicates a different price), writes your bill and you pay at the door.

It worked out at about £31 for the two of us, including drinks (water and green tea only, no alcohol for us on that occasion). I felt the food and the experience was OK, and the price fair, even if I know one or two places where I could do better for that price.

The atmosphere is not as noisy as you would expect, despite the buzzers going off and the chefs, who can be seen at work, shouting "service". In all it was a good evening if not necessarily the ideal venue for a romantic meal.
