What we say

Zizzi is a chain within a chain (it's owned by ASK), so our culinary alert muscles start to twitch a little. It's basically fast traditional Italian food: pizza, pasta, salad, ice cream: and the occasional risotto. By this stage our taste protection troops are on full alert. The décor is contemporary, the ubiquitous pizza oven is in full view, and the staff are pleasant and competent. We relax. But then the killer: it's very popular with families, especially at lunchtimes and in the early evening. We're out of here and we haven't even gone in yet. Mind you there's a child in all of us, so when it's a bit quieter we'll be back. After all, ASK is a very successful brand so it must be doing something right.

Zizzi's is located in nice location in the heart of Clifton Village and is pleasantly decorated.

Dining with a large group at lunchtime and having to get back to work we were pleased that the service during our visit was fast and efficient.

The entire group were having Pizza's and despite Zizzi's claims that their pizza's are second to none the general feeling in our group was that they were good without being anything more.

I went for the Margherita (yes I know its the boring choice) but I am quite picky and usually like to "create my own" if there isn't a combination that particularly takes my fancy on the day. Unfortunately Zizzi's don't offer this option.

Although an unspectacular visit to Zizzi's the food was decent, the service quick and the price in line with what one would expect therefore I would have no hesitation in coming back for pizza or even on an evening to try a broader range of their offerings.

I've visited Zizzi's several times and never had a bad meal. The salads and pastas are great and my husband assures me the calzones are very good too. Service has always been very good. Prices are reasonable too.

There were a group of 16 of us, all with 2for 1 vouchers, all trying to get served in an hours lunch break.

It was rather slow service but with 16 of our hungry mouths to feed it probably seemed longer than it actually was.

I thought the pizza was fab, good size, enough to share for a lunchtime snack or one to yourself for a meal, but even without the 2for 1 vouchers still good value for money.

We are frequent users of Pizza Express, but mainly in Falmouth where the service is great, but having been so rudely spoken to by the meeter and greeter at PE in Clifton Village, we opted for the less favoured in my kids eyes, Zizzi. They were only happy to get us a table - for 12 though, on a Saturday, close to Christmas???? They surprised us by also offering the same kids deal (about 5.95) as PIzza Express.

As I say, very accommodating, didn't mind the kids being kids, and fast efficient service.

Sorry PE but you've lost us now.

Great location and nice decor, atmosphere is nice, busy but not too noisy or overcrowded. The food selection especially salads isn't as good as it's nearby competitors but the starters are nice and everyone was happy with their meals.

Two families with two 7 year olds, so the rather noisy atmosphere suited us fine! There was a good value child-friendly menu, though not many vegetables involved!

The adult meals were good, pizzas had enough topping, the goat's cheese ravioli delicious and came with a spoon to make eating the juice easier and the steak quite well cooked, although the presentation was a little boring.

Service was brilliant at the beginning, but then we waited a long time for our desserts and coffees (and the bill).

Overall it was good value for money and much as you would expect from a Pizza restaurant.
