  On this occasion, good food was let down by very poor service. After arriving, we were left without attention for about 15 minutes. A complimentary bread basket would have made the wait for starters more tolerable. Only 2 waiting staff on a busy Saturday evening meant slow, uncoordinated service, particularly as the kitchen seems to be situated downstairs - ergonomically, this venue doesn't seem to work very well. Unusually, the soup came without bread, which is a payable, added extra. By the time it had arrived, we had all finished! They had run out of white wine and the dessert served was different to that on the menu - however, we were not consulted as to whether or not this was suitable! Generally, the food was pretty good; unfortunately it doesn't make up for the poor service, and I'm sorry to say that a return visit is unlikely.
