We decided to have a quick meal here on a Monday evening, the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a largely typical Thai restaurant style with carved tables and tradtional statues.

Complimentary prawn crackers are provided on the tables to eat whilst you browse the menu of traditional thai dishes. I opted for the roast crispy duck with chilli sauce and my partner for the sweet and sour duck and we shared a side of sticky rice.

My duck was nicely cooked, a generous portion of slightly pink soft meat with a good mixture of vegetables and a slightly spicy chilli sauce. The food was nice, it was nothing special and i have had better Thai food, no real complaints except that my crispy duck wasn't crispy at all and there was no skin - a bit of a disappointment for a crispy duck dish.

My partner's sweet and sour dish was served as a similar portion with similar vegetables although lacked the pineapple stated on the menu and the sweet and sour sauce definitely lacked the sour component.

Curiously, our sticky rice arrived wrapped up in a plastic bag - I have no idea why and I have not seen this before but you certainly dont expect to find a plastic bag of rice beneath the bamboo lid of the rice container. I can only imagine it came straight from the microwave.

Service was friendly and the food was served quickly albeit slightly cooler than i would have liked. Singha beer is available but is the only Thai option. Prices are reasonable at around £7/8 for the average main and for the price delivers what you would expect but no more.
