  Located in Clifton facing the Downs from the moment you step inside the Rajpoot it feels noticeably more impressive than your usual Indian restaurant. From the decor to the place settings it feels like a slightly more refined Indian dining experience.

  As my group had been for a few drinks prior to our booking I felt that we were perhaps a little noisier than the usual groups that dine here. The staff however were extremely friendly and didn't act as if we were disturbing the peaceful atmosphere that would seemingly have existed wthout our presence.

  Some of the groups eyes were bigger than their bellies so I was able to try a few of the dishes. The Chicken Bhuna and Chicken Tikka were tasty with good size chunks of tender meat. The highlight however was the Tandoori Trout which was ordered as a few of us wanted to try it without committing to it as a main dish. I would have no concerns about ordering it again.

  Although it is marginally more expensive than most Indian restaurants I have eaten in, the quality of the food and the overall experience is undoubtedly worth the premium. I would definitely return to the Rajpoot
