Been here few times for drinks and i love the Piano player and always looked at the menu and thought it looked interesting!
First thing is if you are thinking of taking your significant other to this restaurant on a weekend you have to take in to account the noise that comes from the bar, you can forget having any kind of conversation unless you are seated away from that area.
Food was ok but for the money you would expect that what i didn't like was all the extras you have to pay for, Pots, veg, salad etc all at around £3 makes a big difference. I had venison loin and for the first time in my life it was tough as a boot, seemed to be cooked ok but not great quality, which is a shame as i adore Venison.
Service was good, attentive staff and greeted with a warm welcome so that was a big plus!
I can see why people like it but i can also see why some more traditional diner would dislike it, You are not going to get people come here for the food more the surroundings i think.
