    Very bad experience, long wait, unfriendly staff, poor food and very over priced for a dodgy looking pub. Half the food did not show up and when some of the food did it looked liked it was picked out of the bin.

    We love the new Star and Dove. It's not a run down old pub at all, it is clean and tidy and has plenty of charm. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating. Sometimes there is a little wait but what do you expect when wanting fresh food, not microwaved! Maybe it was the diner who was unfriendly.......

    We love the Star and Dove too and have always had fantastic food, it is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere, the kids love going there. I agree with fifimadam, the food is worth the wait, to say it has been picked out of the bin is an

    insult. The diner obviously has no idea about great food......

    We were there on New years eve and we have an extremely different view to you.

    The chefs had a standing ovation at the end of the night we thought that was because of the outstanding food ?

    As for the service it was attentive and friendly.

    We eat at Star and Dove regularly and have never had a bad time ever !!!!
