Not the Best in Bristol

It was OK ...... The first thing that struck me when I sat down was the slightly odd decor - those chairs are weird & so out of place with the rest of it - and they really need to replace the carpet on the stairs!
Menu much bigger than what is on the website, but I don't think it is particularly 'avant garde'.... My friend had a chicken sag - it was just called something different - & I had the crab Massala which looked really unappetizing but was actually quite nice and HOT, I had to order a raita especially! Had a sag paneer to share that was OK; a bit dry & the cheese was in tiny pieces rather than blocks.
It seems to be popular with large groups - I found the atmosphere a bit lacking to be honest but the food was certainly edible & reasonably priced; I still rate Kathmandu on Colston St as the best in that area
